Alisa Arsenault studied printmaking and photography at the Université de Moncton and graduated in 2013. Since her graduation, she participated in several group exhibitions including Somewheres (2014) at Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown (P.E.I.) and Acadie Mythique (2014), a travelling exhibition curated by Harlan Johnson. She is also an active member of Atelier d’estampe Imago.

Through the specificity of her own ancestral stories, Alisa’s work deals with universal issues, negotiating and renegotiating the inherited narrative. Her exploration of these ever-changing stories emphasizes their distance from the lived reality. Through video, sound and installation, she explores the ephemeral and malleable construction of the chronicled reality.
