Jury 2016 :
Discover the magic of Super 8 film through the 20th edition of Acadie Underground: an evening of short films created by artists from here and from away! Participants (individually or in groups) were given little time with a camera to create a 3 minute film. There is no post editing, the films are shot and edited entirely in camera at the time of filming. Also, Super 8 film has no soundtrack. Therefore, some films can be created with the intention of being accompanied by either a recording or a live performance during the projection.
Acadie Underground is one of the most popular events at the FICFA. Over a dozen films will be presented to an enthusiastic crowd on Friday November 11, 2016. Presented as a part of the Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie since 1996, Acadie Underground is one of the longest running Super 8 events in North America! At this 20th edition, the public will be invited to vote for their favorite film. A jury of peers will award the grand prize to one lucky participant. Acadie Underground is a collaboration between the FICFA and the Galerie Sans Nom and it is presented as a part of the Volet d'arts médiatiques of the FICFA.
