HAPPENING PLURIDISCIPLINAIRE 1 NOVEMBRE @ 20H30

Le premier novembre, jour de la Toussaint ou Dia de los muertos, le Centre culturel Aberdeen, en collaboration avec le Festival Frye et la Galerie Sans Nom, invitent les vivant·es à un happening pluridisciplinaire pour honorer la mémoire de nos artistes acadien•nes disparu·es.

Le cinéaste Paul Bossé a présenté son nouveau court-métrage, intitulé La Muerte a mal aux pattes, vibrant montage d’images d’archives de ses amis plus grands que nature comme Robert Melanson, qui n’habitent plus la sphère terrestre.

La projection était accompagnée de lectures de poésie de :

• Georgette LeBlanc
• Herménégilde Chiasson
• Daniel H. Dugas
• Janice Durant

Ces cinq auteur·rices ont sélectionné•es des poèmes de voix éteintes, comme celles de Guy Arsenault ou de Raymond Guy LeBlanc.

L’artiste multidisciplinaire Rotchild Choisy a produit une œuvre visuelle en directe et DJ Martine a fourni une trame sonore envoûtée à cette soirée carnavalesque.

On the first of November, All Saints' Day or Dia de los Muertos, the Aberdeen Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Frye Festival and Galerie Sans Nom, invite the living to a multidisciplinary happening to honour the memory of Acadian artists.

Filmmaker Paul Bossé presented his new short film, entitled La Muerte a mal aux pattes, a vibrant montage of archive images of his larger-than-life friends like Robert Melanson, who no longer inhabit the earthly realm.

The screening was accompanied by live poetry readings from:

• Georgette LeBlanc
• Herménégilde Chiasson
• Daniel H. Dugas
• Janice Durant

These five authors selected poems from extinct voices, such as those of Guy Arsenault or Raymond Guy LeBlanc.

Multidisciplinary artist Rotchild Choisy created visual work live and DJ Martine provided a spellbinding soundtrack to this carnival evening.
