Becky Parsons
Becky Parsons est une photographe et cinématographe primée. Diplômée du Nova Scotia College of Art and Design à Halifax, elle est native de Londres au Royaume-Uni et habite maintenant dans les provinces atlantiques du Canada.
En tant que photographe artistique, Becky a produit des expositions au Royaume-Uni (Londres) et au Canada (Toronto, Halifax et Moncton). Plusieurs de ses photos ont été publiées et sont en montre dans plusieurs collections privées à travers le Canada et le Royaume-Uni.
« Récemment, je me suis mise à explorer le thème de l’immigration dans mon œuvre, dit-elle. En tant qu’immigrante au Canada et errante autoproclamée je remarque un point de vue en changement constant sur le sentiment d’être chez soi parmi les gens que je rencontre et dans les communautés que je visite régulièrement. »
Les œuvres présentées se penchent sur notre planète natale, la Terre, et se posent des questions sur le sort de l’humanité dans l’éventualité que nous devions migrer ailleurs alors que notre monde serait inhabitable.

Becky Parsons is an award-winning photographer and cinematographer. A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, she was born in London, UK and now calls the Atlantic Provinces of Canada her home.
As an art photographer Becky has exhibited in the UK (London) and in Canada (Toronto, Halifax, and Moncton). A number of her photographs have been published and have entered private collections throughout Canada and the United Kingdom.
"Recently, I have been exploring the theme of immigration in my work, she says. As an immigrant to Canada and a self-professed wanderer I notice an ever-changing point-of-view about the sense of home among the people I meet and within the different communities I regularly visit."
This body of work focuses on our collective home of planet earth and considers if humanity must migrate away in an eventuality that our world becomes uninhabitable.
