James Fitzgerald est originaire d’Halifax où il a joué de la batterie, assuré les arrangements musicaux et joué le rôle d’ingénieur de son pour plusieurs groupes pendant plus de 10 ans. Ses collaborateurs incluent The Sycamores, Jack MacDonald and The Hotel Faces, Guided By Vices, The Call Center, Pamela Underwater ainsi que plusieurs projets inédits.
Fitzgerald est déménagé à Moncton en 2012 où il a joué la batterie dans un jamborée de country pendant deux ans. En 2016, il a collaboré avec l’artiste Jennifer Bélanger sur ‘’Mamans…’’ une œuvre vidéo dans laquelle il a enregistré, produit et joué la guitare, la basse et la batterie. Il a également joué de la guitare et fait le mixage d’enregistrements de performances avec le groupe The Gregories et travail actuellement sur un enregistrement double avec Matt Leblanc du group Tampa ainsi qu’une collection de musique en solo.
James a participé au volet compositeur d’Acadie Underground, créant une œuvre sonore accompagnant un film super 8 retrouvé qui serra également présenté lors de RE:FLUX cette année.

James Fitzgerald, former closet guitar player, was born in Halifax where he played drums, arranged music and was recording engineer for various Halifax bands for more than 10 years. His collaborations include The Sycamores, Jack MacDonald and The Hotel Faces, Guided By Vices, The Call Centre, Pamela Underwater as well as various unreleased projects and tests.
Fitzgerald moved to Moncton in 2012 and played drums in a weekly country jamboree for 2 years. In 2016 he collaborated with Jennifer Belanger on “Mommas...” an art video where he recorded, engineered, produced and played guitars, bass and drums. He has played guitar and mixed various live recordings with The Gregories and is currently working on a split recording project with Matt LeBlanc of Moncton Band “Tampa”, as well as a full length collection of music.
James participated in the Acadie Underground Film Festival by recording a soundtrack companion piece for a garage sale find super 8 home video which will also be featured in the 2017 RE:FLUX festival.
