L’atelier d’estampe Imago offre une bourse annuelle à un.e candidat.e qui a gradué.e du baccalauréat en arts visuels de Mount Allison University ou l'Université de Moncton dans les cinq dernières années. Cette bourse vise à encourager et appuyer les artistes estampiers de la relève en leur donnant l’occasion de continuer leur production artistique en estampe au Nouveau-Brunswick. L'atelier d'estampe Imago remercie Galerie Sans Nom pour sa collaboration dans le cadre de ce projet.
Sounds of the Garden, Sounds of the Home (Bruits du jardin, bruits du foyer) explore les tensions entre les espaces intérieurs et les formes domestiquées de la nature. Par l’entremise de structures sculpturales et des tirages, j’ai créé un espace qui fusionne le foyer et le jardin en examinant la nature en terme de sa fétichisation, sa marchandisation et sa subordination. Les oeuvres dans l’installation sont construites à partir d’articles ménagers, des matériaux de construction, des plantes et du papier peint imprimé. Ensemble, ces composantes manifestent les tensions et les contradictions inhérentes à leurs matérialités. En reconnaissant la salle d’exposition comme espace intérieur, je tente créer un environnement basé sur nos relations artificielles envers le monde naturel et ses représentations.
Jeff Mann est un artiste en début de carrière originaire d’Ottawa, Ontario qui vit et travaille à Sackville, Nouveau-Brunswick. Mann détient un BAV de l’Université Mount Allison où il a travaillé principalement en sculpture et estampe.

Imago Artist-run print studio offers an annual bursary to a candidate who has earned their Bachelors in Fine Arts from Mount Allison University or l’Université de Moncton within the past five years. This bursary enables young artists to continue their practice in contemporary printmaking in New-Brunswick. Imago extends its thanks to Galerie Sans Nom for their collaboration.
Sounds of the Garden, Sounds of the Home presents an exploration of the tensions that lie between interior spaces and domesticated forms of nature. Through sculptural constructions and prints I have created a space that merges the house and the garden, investigating nature in terms of its fetishization, commodification, and subordination. The works in the installation are constructed of household objects, construction materials, live plants, and printed wallpaper; together demonstrating the tensions and contradictions inherent within their materialities. Acknowledging the exhibition room as an interior space, I aim to create an environment built on our artificial relationships to and representations of the natural world.
Jeff Mann is an emerging artist from Ottawa, Ontario, currently living and working in Sackville, New Brunswick. A graduate of Mount Allison University, he is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in sculpture and printmaking.
