Née à Saint-Jean au Nouveau-Brunswick, Marie-Michelle Haché détient un baccalauréat en psychologie de l’Université de Moncton. Elle en est à sa troisième année du baccalauréat en arts visuels de l’université Mount Allison où elle profite d’une formation multidisciplinaire. Sa démarche gravite principalement autour d’une exploration continue en peinture, en estampe, en photographie et en dessin.
Par le biais de peintures figuratives de son alter ego fictif, Marie-Michelle se permet de vivre une confrontation intérieure de ses angoisses vis-à-vis sa vie artistique. Elle explore les identités attribuées et perçues par autrui tout en plongeant dans ses propres souvenirs d’enfance. Au moyen de son alter ego, Marie-Michelle remet en question la façon dont un ego est créé et, à son tour, comment il évolue au cours d’une vie.

Born in Saint John (New Brunswick), Marie-Michelle Haché hold a BA in psychology from Université de Moncton. She’s currently in her third year of her BFA at Mount Allison University. Her practice currently explores painting, printmaking, photography and drawing.
Through representational paintings of her fictional alter ego, Marie-Michelle allows herself to experience an inner confrontation of her creative anxieties. She reflects on ascribed and perceived identities by diving into her own childhood memories. Through the use of other selves, Marie-Michelle calls into question how an ego is created and in turn, how it evolves during a lifetime.
