Rotchild Choisy est un artiste émergent multidisciplinaire, originaire d’Haiti, qui termine sa 4e année au Baccalauréat en arts visuels à l'Université de Moncton, avec concentration en peinture et sculpture. Il exposera ses travaux de fin d'étude à la Galerie d'art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen en avril 2022. Depuis 2018, il a eu, entre autres, des expositions solos et collectives à la Galerie Triangle du Département des arts visuels, et des expos solos à la Galerie de la Bibliothèque Champlain. Il a également fait une installation sculpturale dans le cadre de la Nuit des idées 2021, organisée par la Place Resurgo et l'Alliance Française de Moncton. En 2021, il a remporté une bourse de Leadership de l'AÉÉICUM et Dr Denis Prud'homme, et une bourse d'artiste de la FÉÉCUM et en 2020, il a remporté la Bourse de mérite 2019 de la Fondation Sheila Hugh Mackay.

Son travail artistique s’intéresse aux relations sociales, économiques et politiques que les gens entretiennent avec leur environnement par la peinture et la sculpture, et aussi avec des explorations multimédias.

Rotchild Choisy is an emerging multidisciplinary artist, originally from Haiti, who is completing his 4th year of the Bachelor of Visual Arts program at the Université de Moncton, with a concentration in painting and sculpture. He will be exhibiting his graduation work at the Galerie d'art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen in April 2022. Since 2018, he has had solo and group exhibitions at the Triangle Gallery in the Visual Arts Department, and solo exhibitions at the Champlain Library Gallery, among others. He also did a sculptural installation as part of the 2021 Night of Ideas, organized by Resurgo Place and the Alliance Française de Moncton. In 2021, he won a Leadership Scholarship from the AÉÉICUM and Dr. Denis Prud'homme, and an Artist Scholarship from the FÉÉCUM and in 2020, he won the 2019 Merit Scholarship from the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation.

His artwork focuses on the social, economic, and political relationships people have with their environment through painting and sculpture, and also with multimedia explorations.
